The life of the writers of a television program in Uruguay is affected by the pressures of the military in the year that preceded the military coup of 1973.。村医林天遭全城通缉后逃至偏远山区，借住农夫家。农夫儿子腿伤，林天说明医疗条件有限、出问题不负责后帮忙手术，术后农夫反悔挑衅。林天持枪追夫妇，又送其就医，却遇被救活的反派。反派携父寻仇时，警察赶到，林天放弃抵抗，反派受惩，林天也获法律严惩。。
