该剧讲述了20世纪30年代的云南缅甸边境的“吉普赛”人的传奇故事。。退休教师齐大妈丧偶多年，她的所有心思全用在外孙女婷婷身上。不料女儿女婿突然离婚，而能歌善舞的外孙女婷婷也因意外失聪。女儿离家出走，女婿再婚，面对种种困境，齐大妈义无反顾肩负起照顾婷婷的重担。婷婷的父亲赢得抚养权，爷爷奶奶也从乡下赶来。齐大妈不舍孩子，只好隐瞒身份以保姆的身份进入前女婿家中。齐大妈忍辱负重一切为了婷婷，没想到却遭到所有人的误解；好不容易以自己的诚心和坚韧赢得了大家的理解，却突然病倒，医生诊断她患上老年痴呆。齐大妈并没有就此倒下，她在剩下有限的时间里帮助婷婷彻底摆脱失聪留下的阴影，同时也帮助婷婷重建与父母和爷爷奶奶的亲情。。In the futuristic city of Vanille, with properly tuned ImmerSyst Eyes & Ears the world can look and sound like a paradise.
