金一趟（葛存壮 饰）是一名拥有着丰富经验的老中医，他的独门秘方“再造金丹”能够治好各种疑难杂症，而金丹的秘方只有金一趟自己一人知道。金一趟有两个女儿金秀（宋佳 饰）和金枝（许晴 饰）。金秀在和张全义（孙淳 饰）结婚后久久没有怀孕，这可急坏了金一趟。一次偶然中，金一趟见到了一名弃婴，收留了他取名金兴。在一连串的意外和波折之后，金秀成为了金兴的养母。 金枝结识了名为徐伯贤（马红鹰 饰）的男子，徐伯贤经营着一家公司，一心想要得到再造金丹的配方，将它批量化生产以获得巨大的利益。再造金丹的存在让众人纷纷被卷入了阴谋和感情的漩涡之中。。An under-appreciated, over worked assistant entrusted with a million dollar necklace races to find out which of his friends betrayed him, as he battles a desperate criminal duo bent on stealing the necklace.
