《中国公路》是新中国第一部全面展示中国公路建设发展历程和建设成就的纪录片。影片首次采用行进式的纪行手法，从“发展之路”。“民生之路”。“人文之路”，“科技之路”等多层面，以“因路而变”的独特视角，以中国公路建设和经济发展为叙事主线，以鲜活、生动的，与路有关的人与事为切入点，诠释公路交通建设为促进中国社会发展所起到的巨大作用，全方位纪录中国公路交通建设发展历程和建设成就。反映中国共产党带领全国各族人民铺就大国腾飞之路，建设新中国的丰功伟绩，向观众展现快速和谐发展的、热气腾腾的中国。。In this bitingly satirical film Peter Slovan, a continuous source of trouble for the film functionaries of the socialist Slovakia, tackles an evergreen topic – the corruptive effects of power. Barnabáš Kos, a triangle player at a symphonic orchestra, is suddenly promoted to serve as the head of the said institution, even though both he and his superiors deem him completely unfit for the task. Encouraged in equal parts by this unexpected recognition and the servile praise of his colleagues, Kos’s modesty starts to gradually vanish. The erstwhile bashful and aloof percussionist quickly becomes aware of the advantages of his new office, and begins to realise his increasingly ludicrous artistic ambitions. Ultimately, the submissive marionette turns into a source of public humiliation, and his astonishing career finds an abrupt end. Orchestra serves here as a microcosm that grotesquely reflects the absurd and tragicomic mechanisms of the paranoid apparatus of power.
