"A Walk to Beautiful" tells the story of five women in Ethiopia suffering from devastating childbirth injuries. Rejected by their husbands and ostracized by their communities, these women are left to spend the rest of their lives in loneliness and shame. We follow each of these women on their journey to a special hospital in Addis Ababa where they find solace for the first time...。1960年代，上山下乡运动风靡全国，陈希南（周里京饰）、韩七月（张静饰）、曲林（吕晓刚饰）、肖弟弟（雷汉饰）等青年来到北大荒，支援边疆建设。不久，现实的严酷将考验着他们，七月的父母被打成了反革命，她的内心在挣扎，信念在动摇。肖弟弟由于收不到海外亲人的来信，渐渐对生活失去了勇气。而忍受不了北大荒恶劣生存环境的凝玉（林芳兵饰），则想通过结婚调回城去。盛夏到了，人人都在思考以后的出路。七月通过长时间思索，坚定了留在北大荒的信念，但在一场大火中，她被夺去了年青的生命。几年后，希南作为工农兵学员，毕业回到北京，但他的思绪却飞回到遥远的北大荒......。
